What is Back to the Mail?
A mail client for sharing short statuses and articles with the people you know, over ordinary email. There is no platform to join, no server run by the project, no algorithm and no advertising. Your social graph is your address book, and your mailbox keeps everything.
- Any mailbox. Works with any IMAP/SMTP account.
- No server. Your credentials never leave your devices.
- Readable everywhere. Every message is a normal email, readable in any mail client.
- You choose your audience. Anyone can unsubscribe at any time.
- Nothing to install for your readers. They read and reply from their usual mail client.
Your contacts form your Everybody audience. You can also create Pages (you publish, subscribers comment) and Groups (you and the members publish, everyone comments): a simple alternative to messaging groups and social network pages for a sports club, a choir, a family or a group of friends.
